The Good Day Difference

What Makes a Good Day Different

Good Day Community Markets was created to make markets more rewarding for businesses, more exciting for guests, and more meaningful for the communities around us.

We believe a market can do more than bring people together for a day. It can create sales, opportunities, useful connections, business growth, community support, and experiences people remember.

Here’s what makes a Good Day different.

FREEBIES That Support Vendors

At each Good Day market, Good Day purchases $1,000 worth of products, food, drinks, and other items directly from participating vendors to give away free to guests.

Guests get something exciting to try while participating businesses make real sales and get introduced to potential new customers.

Love your FREEBIE? The business that made or sold it is right inside the market waiting to be discovered.

The Good Day Cash Hunt

There may be money waiting somewhere around the market.

At participating Good Day markets, we may hide cash envelopes with different amounts for guests to find.

Some markets may have several smaller amounts. Others may include larger cash finds.

Explore the market, visit businesses, grab something to eat, enjoy the experience, and keep your eyes open along the way.

Find the cash. Keep the cash.

Good Day Share Tables

At select markets, guests, vendors, and market participants may find Good Day Share Tables featuring complimentary new or gently used items in excellent condition.

Share Tables may be organized around themes such as:

• Kids & Family
• Home
• Books & Creativity
• Back-to-School
• Baby & Little Ones
• Pet
• Cozy
• Self-Care
• Kitchen & Everyday
• Holiday
• Career & Work
• Good Day Surprise

A Share Table may be provided by Good Day, a nonprofit or community organization, or another approved participant.

They are open to everyone. No purchase or income requirement is necessary.

Share Tables are planned with participating businesses in mind and are not intended to compete with vendors. If an item overlaps too closely with something a participating vendor is actively selling, the vendor takes priority.

The idea is simple: useful things deserve another Good Day too.

Vendor Success Coaching

At select markets, participating businesses may have access to a Vendor Success Coach.

Think of it as having a personal business coach available while customers are actually in front of you.

The coach may help vendors with:

• Customer engagement
• Sales conversations
• Shopper behavior
• Visual merchandising
• Product positioning
• Pricing presentation
• Product demonstrations
• Recognizing buying signals
• Customer hesitation
• Cross-selling and upselling when appropriate
• Identifying what shoppers are responding to

If a vendor is having a slower hour, customers are stopping but not purchasing, or they simply want another experienced perspective, they can ask the coach for help.

With permission, the coach may demonstrate an approach at the booth and privately explain what they noticed afterward.

The coach is introduced to vendors before the market and then blends naturally into the environment. Guests generally will not know coaching is taking place.

The purpose is not to supervise vendors. It is to give them personalized knowledge and practical strategies they can use during that market and continue using afterward.

Even a slower sales day can still create value when a business leaves with stronger selling skills, a better understanding of its customers, and strategies that can help create future revenue.

Family-Friendly Experiences

We want Good Day to feel like somewhere families can actually spend time together.

Depending on the market and venue, Good Day may include things like a free Kids Zone, soft play, inflatable attractions, games, activities, and other family-friendly experiences.

Not every market will have the same activities, which means every Good Day can feel a little different.

Support Beyond Your Booth

Sometimes businesses need more than another event to attend.

Through our Good Day Open Door, businesses can reach out, ask questions, share what they need, and connect with us beyond market day.

We want Good Day to be a place where new and growing entrepreneurs feel welcome too.

Opportunities for Content Creators

Good Day isn’t only for shoppers and vendors.

Our UGC Creator Pass gives creators opportunities to experience our markets, discover local businesses, create content, build their portfolios, and become part of the Good Day community.

Physical and Virtual Market Opportunities

Not every opportunity has to happen in person.

Along with physical markets, Good Day may also host Virtual Markets through Zoom, giving businesses another way to meet customers, introduce what they offer, and participate from outside the immediate market area.

This gives Good Day opportunities to connect with businesses and guests beyond Southern California too.

Good Day Cares

The generosity behind Good Day goes beyond our markets.

Through Good Day Cares, we look for meaningful ways to support people and communities as Good Day grows.

That may include purchasing useful products from participating businesses for local organizations and community needs.

The business gets paid.

The community benefits.

And the support keeps moving forward.

Why We Do It Differently

Good Day was inspired by something our founder learned through her own life:

When you have an opportunity to help someone, you help, and you keep that kindness moving forward.

We bring that belief into business.

That’s why Good Day puts $1,000 directly back into participating businesses at each market by purchasing their products and giving them away free to guests.

It’s why we create Share Tables that make useful items available to the community without competing with our vendors.

It’s why we may provide Vendor Success Coaching so businesses can leave with knowledge and skills that continue helping them beyond one market.

It’s why we create Cash Hunts, family experiences, virtual opportunities, community support, and additional ways for people and businesses to benefit from Good Day.

The programs may look different, but the purpose behind them is the same:

Create opportunities. Support people. Help businesses grow. Keep the good moving forward.
