About the Founder
Good Day Community Markets started with a simple belief: business can grow while people help each other grow, too.
That belief comes from the people and experiences that shaped me.
My grandmother raised her daughters as a single mother and put them through private school for their entire education. She would even buy men’s clothing for herself because it was cheaper, choosing to spend less on herself so she could provide more for her family.
That generosity became part of my own life. Growing up, my grandmother, aunt, and uncle were my financial providers. They made sure I was taken care of and consistently stepped in for me throughout my life. Their support showed me firsthand how much of a difference it can make when people choose to show up for someone.
I also saw them extend that kindness to people they didn’t know.
I remember standing in line for soccer sign-ups with my uncle when the person in front of us couldn’t afford the registration fee. My uncle didn’t know them. He didn’t ask questions. He simply pulled out his card and paid.
My aunt has that same instinct. When she would hear that a family connected to the children’s choir needed help, she would step in. No questions. No expectation of getting anything back.
Years later, I experienced that same kind of generosity from a complete stranger. When I was having problems with my first car, a man helped me. I asked if I could repay him.
His answer was simple:
“Just return the kindness and help someone else.”
That stayed with me.
My uncle also became a business owner, so I grew up seeing another important lesson: entrepreneurship and generosity don’t have to be separate. You can build something successful while still creating opportunities for other people.
That is where Good Day Community Markets comes from.
I wanted to create markets where small businesses can make real sales, entrepreneurs can grow, guests can discover businesses they may have never found otherwise, and generosity is built into the experience.
Good Day is a business, but the heart behind it is deeply personal.
It is my way of taking the support that helped shape my life and passing it forward.
The people who raised me showed me what can happen when someone simply chooses to help. A stranger reminded me to keep that kindness moving.
Good Day Community Markets is my way of doing exactly that.
Local people. Stronger communities. Brighter days.
